Starting in January 2011, MIT OpenCourseWare began publishing a unique set of new courses, dubbed OCW Scholar courses, which are designed specifically to meet the needs of our independent learner audience. Whereas our traditional publication simply presents course materials as used in MIT classrooms, OCW Scholar courses contain materials specifically designed for independent online learning. MIT faculty, staff and students work closely with the OCW team to structure OCW Scholar courses, and these courses offer substantially complete materials, including new custom-created content, and are structured in logical sequences to facilitate independent learning. This webinar will provide an overview of these innovative resources.
